Project Description
New Build
The home is perched on Benito’s point the highest hill in Queenscliff which is prominent from the main road that enters the coastal town. The barn aesthetic was developed from Local vernacular of gabled weatherboard houses, this architectural style supported the use of reclaimed antique doors and furniture to be incorporated into the home. The house is a full time residence for a retired couple who moved from the city to Queenscliff. The design process started from the interior out. We crafted spaces that could showcase the client’s eclectic art, furniture and antique collections in a modern dwelling with a timeless feel. It was essential that the house was low maintenance and environmentally considered.
